STRIEBIG SAW A WINNER AT AINTREE

Shopfitting has bought a Striebig Standard II
vertical panel saw as part of a £250,000 investment
programme in new machinery, that has also included
a CNC machining centre.
The
Aintree, Liverpool business is a national shopfitting
company that specialises in the refurbishment
of stores, offices, public houses and hotels throughout
the UK. It has carried out major projects for
multiple store groups, together with numerous
private and public projects for local authorities,
housing associations and the licenced trade.

Owner
Paul Rushworth appreciates the quality and the
space-saving nature of the vertical panel saw.
Purchased from UK distributor, T.M. Machinery
Sales Ltd of Leicester, it complements a new SCM
Record 130 panel machining centre.
The
saw is used primarily to size MDF panels before
they pass through the machining centre. They include
a new range of coloured MDF sheet imported from
Portugal that Rushworths sell separately after
they are processed, as well as using them in shopfitting
contracts.
The
ultra-compact Standard II is one of the most popular
models in the Striebig range. It comes in a choice
of nine frame sizes, two frame types, two motor
sizes and three extraction systems, amongst many
other options. High safety standards and ergonomically
positioned controls make the Standard II exceptionally
easy to operate and safe to use, minimising operator
fatigue and avoiding costly errors.
The
model chosen by Rushworth has a 6m long frame
size, large enough to cope with all the different
sized panels it buys in. It incorporates the Striebig
TRK dust and chips extraction system - designed
to keep users ahead of even the toughest European
legislation - with an automatic moving backing
support.
"It's
generally recognised in the trade that Striebig
make the best vertical panel saws on the market,
and after running it for several months I can
quite see why," said Mr Rushworth.
"You
get so much more for your money compared with
the other makes I looked at, and the quality of
the cut is fantastic. It's easy to use and totally
reliable and so far we have not needed any after-sales
service."
