Striebig continues to set the universal standard for vertical panel saws, with several recent improvements launched to boost output and simplify operation.

Striebig Control – automation advancements

The fully-automatic Control series now offers an optional Electronic Positioning System (EPS) on both axes for the automatic positioning of both the length stop and saw head. This vastly increases the saw’s productivity by delivering automatic repeat strip and upper trim cutting.

Among new standard features is a laser-supported display for making totally accurate horizontal cuts, another industry ‘first’ for Striebig. There’s also an innovative cutting list input function, provided via a USB memory stick. All possible dimensions are shown on the touch screen with each dimension ready to be selected by the operator.

The Control offers every possible option for automatic sawing operations. With manual feeding of the saw unit eliminated, the operator’s job is made easier, giving him ample time to prepare the next sawing job.

Numerous automatic procedures can be carried out by the press of a button including locking and releasing the beam saw, setting the horizontal cutting height, plunging and swivelling the motor, locking the support rollers during sawing and fine saw blade adjustment.

Increased cutting depths

For use where high levels of panel throughput are required, both the Control and the Evolution series now offer models with an optional 100mm cutting depth instead of the previous maximum of 80mm, plus improved error messaging.

Both series feature as standard Striebig’s innovative and highly user-friendly “touch and saw” operating system. This delivers easy and convenient machine control through a touch screen panel that operates all of the machine’s functions.

The Striebig Evolution

The Evolution series has many similar features to the Control, making it one of the most advanced manual panel saws available.

Features considered expensive optional extras in other saws are included as standard in both models.

They include a digital measuring system, accurate to 0.1 mm, and an adjustable precision display that can be set to an accuracy of 1.0, 0.5 or 0.1 mm, according to the thickness of the panels being sized.

A unique option on both models is four-sided trimming, which enables the bottom trim cut to be carried out automatically without having to lift or turn the panel.

A wide range of materials can be cut to size

The Swiss-made Striebig vertical panel saws, which can be wall-mounted or freestanding, can cut practically all wood-based sheet materials as well as timber, plaster board, plastics and aluminium panels. They are built on proven solutions for panel sizing, guaranteeing dust limit values well below 1mg/m3.

The Striebig Compact

Also in the range is the entry-level Compact, a space saving all-rounder that brings Striebig quality within the reach of the smallest business, with frame sizes starting at 10 ft x 5 ft. (3100mm x 1644mm)

Features include automatic moving backing support, and the option of a scoring saw for laminates. It’s based on a single, fully welded sawing frame to give decades of reliable service whilst maintaining cutting precision.

The Striebig Standard

The Standard series is available in two versions. The Standard TRK2 is available in nine frame sizes for handling panels up to 5300 x 2240mm. Among the many recent improvements are the additions of a power supply via a flexible chain duct for increased safety, and a moving support frame fitted with a newly developed and optimised bearing system for smoother movement and further increased reliability.

To improve the saw’s effectiveness still further, options include the incorporation of the new fourth generation Digital Measuring System, support rollers that brake pneumatically, and a wooden small work piece support that extends throughout the full length of the machine.

The same improvements and options are available with the Standard TRK1, which is available in the same nine frame sizes. In addition, the TRK1 can be further upgraded with the option of an improved dust extraction system. This is for applications where fine dust must be reduced to an absolute minimum, such as in home improvement and DIY stores.
