STRIEBIG SALES GO VERTICAL AT W6

Striebig exclusive UK agent T.M. Machinery Sales was more than delighted with its appearance at the first W6 show, where it exhibited the Swiss-made range of vertical panel saws.

Said sales co-ordinator Matt Pearce: "All the machines we had on display were sold off the stand, including an Evolution model bought by a sign manufacturer, and we took several orders for high specification models."

He added that during the show they also sealed a major contract with a large nationwide firm of timber merchants.

"We were pleased with the strong quality of the leads we received and expect that once they have all been followed up the final result of our appearance will have been very satisfactory." Several of the enquiries came from non wood-based sectors.

T.M's display featured examples from the entire Striebig product range, from the entry-level Compact to the state-of-the-art Evolution and Control models.

It focussed on upgrades to two of the Standard series. Both versions, built on proven solutions for panel sizing, guarantee dust limit values well below 1mg/m3.

The new Standard TRK2 is available in nine frame sizes for handling panels up to 5300 x 2240mm. Among the improvements are the addition of a power supply via a flexible chain duct for increased safety, and a moving support frame fitted with an optimised bearing system for smoother movement and increased reliability.

To improve the saw's effectiveness still further, options include the incorporation of the new fourth generation digital measuring system, support rollers that brake pneumatically, and a wooden small work piece support that extends throughout the full length of the machine. These are features only previously available with Striebig's top-of-the-range models.

The same improvements and options are available with the Standard TRK1, which is available in the same nine frame sizes. In addition, the TRK1 can be further upgraded with the option of an improved dust extraction system.
This is for applications where fine dust must be reduced to an absolute
minimum, such as in home improvement and DIY stores.

T.M. also used W6 to highlight the benefits of the recent improvements at its Leicester base.

"We've now got more room for machines, spare parts, demonstrations and servicing," said Matt Pearce. "We can now refurbish three of four saws simultaneously."

He said visitors to the stand kept saying that Striebig saws were the best on the market. "It's always good to hear that kind of positive feedback coming from members of the trade."
