TM Machinery talks to Brian Johnson, Woodworking Machinery Sales Manager at The Saw Centre, now exclusive Striebig agents in Scotland for TM Machinery.

Tell me about your business and what you do.

“The Saw Centre was first established as a saw blade sharpening business over 60 years ago. It has steadily expanded into the supply and service of machinery in the woodworking, UPVC, aluminium and steel industries and is now the largest supplier of UPVC and aluminium machinery in Scotland. Working with joiners, shopfitters, furniture manufacturers and builders, we pride ourselves on being a one stop shop for all your manufacturing requirements.”

As TM Machinery’s exclusive agent for Scotland, what will your responsibilities be and what products will you be selling?

“As the exclusive Striebig dealer for the north, we will be working closely with TM Machinery to offer businesses in Scotland the complete Striebig range of vertical panel saws. Working alongside TM Machinery and the saw manufacturer, we will continue to promote the Striebig brand in Scotland and educate new and existing customers to the benefits of the Swiss saw range.”

How did your relationship with TM materialise and what made you want to be an exclusive agent for the north?

“TM Machinery and Striebig have solid reputations in the manufacturing sector and we’ve been aware of their offering for many years. When approached by TM Machinery with a view to selling their range of Striebig wall saws in Scotland, it was an easy decision. Widely referred to as the Rolls Royce of vertical panel saws, it was recognised that we would be adding a high quality machine to our portfolio. We’re delighted to be associated with such reputable names.”
