T.M. Machinery Sales, UK agents for the Striebig range of vertical panel saws, have entered into a distribution agreement with Biesse UK to sell, service and provide spare parts for the artisan range of Viet S1 and S2 wide belt sanders.
T.M. Machinery Sales, sole UK agent for the Striebig range of vertical panel saws, reports an increase in demand for ‘nearly new’ used machines as customers look to cut costs in the economic downturn.
“In today’s tough economic climate production equipment including vertical panel saws might not be replaced as frequently as usual. It therefore makes sense to have a pre-planned service programme so as to extend and maximise their working life and maintain their continued safe operation in the workshop,” says Matt Pearce, sales director of T.M. Machinery Sales, UK agent for the Striebig range.
In 1961, John F. Kennedy became the President of the USA and the Russian Yuri Gagarin was the first person to travel into space. The very same year, Swiss master joiner Ludwig Striebig revolutionised sawing. He registered his patent for a “Device for cutting major structural plates to size or for cutting sections therefrom” – heralding the birth of the vertical panel saw.
Swiss-built Striebig vertical panel saws, also known as wall saws, continue to be the most popular choice for panel processors, whatever the size of their business. Striebig’s portfolio consists of five machine series catering for all sizing needs; the entry-level Compact, the Standard, the Evolution, the Control and the latest 4D sawing centre.
