With the combination of type 546|100 planer and thickness planer, Panhans offers a unique model that combines two woodworking machines with the space requirement of just one. Nevertheless, in both possible operating modes it offers the complete range of functions of a fully-fledged thicknesser and a jointer.
The unique selling point and economic advantage of this machine is that it does not need to be converted to change operating modes. With just one turn of the switch, the machine can be switched from thickness planing to dressing and joining operation and vice versa.
This means that the full planing width of 630 mm can be dressed up to a maximum chip removal of 5 mm and planed to a thickness of up to 8 mm. If necessary, the work area can also be divided by setting the planing tee to half the planing width and locking it in this position.
This means that up to 315 mm wide can be dressed in the front area of the machine, and up to 315 mm wide can be planed on the rear side of the knife shaft.
The solid construction, precision, reliability and longevity of the machine correspond to the conventional Panhans planing machines of the 436|100 and 334|20 to 336|20 series , as the same, exclusively stable and high-quality components are used here.
The machine has all the safety devices required by BG-Holz and is fully equipped. If necessary, it can be adapted to specific customer requirements with numerous special accessories and optional components.
