The massive yet compact Panhans thickness planer with a 630 mm planing width and an impressive 8 mm chip removal has already impressed numerous carpenters, carpenters and wood craftsmen worldwide with its precise, reliable and long-lasting use. This is thanks, among other things, to the maintenance-free bearing design with high-performance precision ball bearings.
The robust steel construction and the dynamically balanced TERSA knife shaft of the thicknesser, together with the powerful 7.5 kW motor, ensure extremely smooth and low-noise operation even under high loads.
Optionally, the machine can be equipped with a spiral knife shaft with 4-fold HM indexable inserts, which, with its “pulling cut”, enables longer service life and even smoother running.
Oscillating feed-in and pull-out rollers as well as articulated pressure beams guarantee smooth transport of the workpieces to be planed on the 1620 mm long thicknessing table. This has a finely planed surface made of solid gray cast iron, the air cushion effect of which prevents the workpieces from sticking to the table top.
The task page contains a control panel with all the important functional elements for starting/stopping the knife shaft and feed as well as for releasing the motor brake.
Above the control panel is the newly developed touchscreen unit for adjusting the height of the thickness table, displaying the feed speed and status messages as well as specifying operating parameters.
The machine is equipped as standard with an effective kickback protection and all the necessary safety devices.
The proven Panhans thicknesser can optionally be expanded with various table extensions and other specific components.
